2020 Winners

Camilla Ahlqvist

Ahlqvist_Camilla.jpgCamilla is a current dietetic intern at the University of Houston Distance Dietetic Internship Program. Camilla received her Bachelors in Nutritional Sciences from Texas A&M University and took time to away from school to gain business experience for 2 years. Then, in 2018 she went on to receive a second bachelors in human environmental sciences & her DPD verification statement through the distance program at the University of Alabama. During her time at the University of Alabama Camilla worked full time for an intensive outpatient eating disorder facility as a dietetic technician where she was able to gain hands on experience working with athletes of all levels under the supervision of 2 phenomenal Eating Disorder Dietitians. With continued interest in sports nutrition she has sought out internship/mentorship experiences with trainers & coaches working with elite NFL athletes in the Dallas, TX area to grow her knowledge of what elite level athletes require from a nutrition perspective. Camilla plans to one day be able to merge her eating disorder & sports nutrition background to better provide for the athletes struggling or seeking guidance with their fueling habits.

Thea Boatswain

Thea is a dietetic intern with Wellness Workdays Dietetic Internship, aspires to work as a nutrition and physical activity educator for low-income communities.

Jenny Litchford

Litchford_Jenny.pngJenny Litchford is currently a Graduate student at Virginia Tech completing my Master’s in Nutrition and Dietetics. I am a part of the first cohort for this Master’s program. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise with a minor in Integrative Health and Wellness from Virginia Tech in the Spring of 2019. I have been working with Sports Nutrition here at Virginia Tech for the past two and a half years. My plan after graduating in December will be to work as a Sports Dietitian at a Division I University.

Teresa Patten

Teresa is enrolled in the Montana Dietetic Internship where she is working under the mentorship of a CSSD in the Montana State University Athletics Department.

Katya Wolf

Katya is a dietetic intern with the Marywood University Dietetic Internship whose career goals involve nutrition for human performance.
