USSA Sports Science Internship Programs
Organization: The United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) is the national governing body for Olympic skiing and snowboarding in the USA.
Description: An internship is offered for individuals with education and experience in Sports Dietetics with an exercise physiology background.
Eligibility: Applicants must be either near completion or have graduated from a degree in Dietetics. Selection is based on personal qualities as well as a proven level of academic and professional experience.
Length: Full-time (40+ hours per week) 6-month internship from June-December. Applicant will be required to work flexible hours and may travel domestic and/or international.
Supervision: The intern position is responsible to the Sports Science internship coordinator and will be supervised by the relevant member of the staff.
Location: the USSA office and training center are located in Park City, Utah.
Compensation: A stipend of $500 per month will be made available. A season ski pass is available for full time interns staying six months.
Travel: Transportation to and from Park City is the responsibility of the applicant. Personal transportation is highly recommended. Travel throughout the US and oversees may be required of the applicant and any expenses incurred would be paid the USSA Sport Science Department.
