Kids Eat Right
The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is dedicated to optimizing the nation's health through food and nutrition. We recognize that the majority of our nation’s children consume too many calories, but also do not meet their nutrient requirements for optimal growth and development. For over a decade, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has committed resources towards the treatment and prevention of childhood obesity.
Kids Eat Right mobilizes the 72,000 plus Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics members, the majority of whom are Registered Dietitians, to take actions in their communities across the United States, promoting quality nutrition. Actions include involvement in school wellness and nutrition education, serving on community coalitions, leading worksite wellness programs, influencing policy makers, and reaching the media with credible nutrition information.
On www.kidseatright.org, parents and caretakers can access tips, articles, recipes and videos to help them shop smart, cook healthy and eat right. All content is contributed by Registered Dietitians and busy families can rest assure that the nutrition information they see is reliable and backed by science.
A Registered Dietitian (RD) can provide nutrition counseling and guidance for optimal nutrient intake for a healthy lifestyle. To find a Registered Dietitian in your area, go to www.eatright.org and click, Find a Registered Dietitian.
