  • Hello Ms. Freshour...

My parents live in morgantown but I live over in Switzerland and play ice hockey. Im 26 yrs old now and work harder and harder to use nutrition to stay fit for my job. I notice though that my body is different compared to others and was wondering if there is a way to find out what types of food my body digests well and handles well to keep my weight down. I just know that some people handle pasta better then potatoes or rice and vice versa and was wondering if there was a way to find that out??? Is there a way of giving blood to be tested to find out what types of food my body handles well? Thank you for your time.

There is a fad diet out now call the Blood Type diet and most professionals disagree with it, as do I. I recommend that you seek out the help of a professional in Switzerland that can help you with nutrient composition at each meal and snack based on your weight goals. That is what I would focus on more.
