Join SCAN now!
The membership year runs from June 1 through May 31. ADA accepts payment for the current year through the end of February. Once you have joined SCAN, ADA will inform us and you will be sent a welcome packet and you will start receiving mailings, including back issues of the PULSE.
- ADA Members may join SCAN through ADA’s website: http://www.eatright.org/. Select SCAN DPG #33 on the registration form.
- If you are not an ADA member but are qualified to be one, you must first join ADA before joining SCAN.

- Stay informed with SCAN’s PULSE, our highly regarded quarterly newsletter that delivers original feature articles, research updates, book reviews, conference summaries, and more.
- Read the information packed newsletters produced by the Sports Dietetics-USA (SD-USA) and Wellness and Cardiovascular RDs (Wellness/CV) subunits.
Continuing Education
- Gain cutting edge information through educational workshops and presentations at SCAN’s Symposium and ADA’s Food and Nutrition Conference & Expo (FNCE).
- Earn free continuing professional education units (CPEUs) via articles in SCAN’s PULSE.
- Participate in webinar and other online learning opportunities, some of which are free to SCAN members.
Networking
- Connect daily with fellow members, including prominent experts, through SCAN’s Discussion Forums, which are located on the SCAN website.
